This year of the rat, metal phase. Who knew it was going to be so unusual? Wake up calls at every turn, shake ups, wake ups and more. Much good has happened even with tragedy, because of tragedies, sacrifices not in vain but catalyzing action that is past due. The Earth, ecosystem, humanity, are all on the verge of collapse. Denial is being hammered at, we are all called on to be more than we have been at any time in our lives. More kind, more present, more careful. In this year in this time I am returning to Jade to cover for Carole while she's away. Four months when all we can do is hope, pray and be the change we want to see. I look forward to seeing you all with much love and joy.

Hello dear souls, I hold you in my heart dear ones, you who came to me for acupuncture and those colleagues whose wisdom I cherish yet. Parts of me that were coming unraveled are knitting back together as I tool around in the old toyota rattletrap pickup to the bakery and the dump, as I pick up the pinecones and feed the birds.
The closest I have come to EAM lately is teaching a PA from Maine who is relocating to NM to use ear seeds for smoking cessation - I wish him success. Thanks so much to Mallory and John and Nancy, and everyone else at Jade Integrated Health in Portland and Brunswick, Maine. The time at Jade has been a wonderful opportunity to put my OM training into practice. Skills benefit from time to contemplate and reflect, like seeds laying fallow under ground in winter. I am counting on that and taking time off to slow the pace of life down and relax into a simpler lifestyle.
My last day at Jade is this coming Friday, October 4th. Then we are meeting with Sangha and friends in Ohio before heading west. KC and I will be campground hosts at Mountain Spirits in Mimbres, New Mexico this winter. |
