Below is a patient testimonial for Dr Jae Hoon Kim, supervisor of the Korean Acupuncture concentration offered at Emperor's College, whom I am privileged to learn from. I have had one quarter in Korean Six Energies with him and will be in clinic next quarter on Sunday afternoons 12:30 - 4:30 under his supervision.
Dr. Kim is an extraordinary Brilliant Acupuncturist and true visionary.
I have been going to Emperor's College for acupuncture treatments weekly for 20 years. Dr. Kim has simply with one or two needles left me feeling so rejuvenated and restored that I feel so happy with a strength that I never knew I had. I am now able to withstand the stresses of the day much more easily, I am able to laugh at situations and have more patience.
The first two treatments were pleasant and I did feel balanced afterwards.
But the third treatment was truly amazing. Dr. Kim said I was balanced and he used only one needle during the treatment and it totally moved the Chi though my entire body. The feeling was like a warm glow. If I was a cat, I would have purred! It felt so calming, relaxing and energizing, all at the same time. I felt totally connected to the power source, like I was plugged in. My whole body seemed to gently be vibrating. I felt very happy, I couldn't even remember my pain, I went beyond conceptual thought. Just as if I was in a deep meditation. I felt as if my body now had the space to heal itself.
In 20 years of acupuncture treatments at ECTOM I have not felt anything so powerful, yet very gentle and subtle. I felt like the treatment transmuted my bodily aches and pains, and I was like brand new.
In fact, a few times during the week I woke up feeling so rejuvenated that I felt like I was about 18 years old! No kidding. For someone with arthritis that is pretty amazing. I don't usually get pain free days as I have many shoulder, hip and back issues due to the arthritis. I feel so much stronger and I am in a better mood!
I want to say that you Alyssa G. is an excellent acupuncturist. I can never feel any of the needles, they go in so smooth. Alyssa has a wonderful technique
At my 3rd or 4th appointment Dr. Kim said after reading my pulses that I was showing Scolosis. Well that was a first but all the issues with one of my shoulders being all jacked up no matter what I did, and the way my chest and ribs were bending to one direction were part of the reason I was seeking treatment. After Dr. Kim's scoliosis analysis Debbie who is an intern and who is a Physical Therapist looked at my back and said sure enough you do have scoliosis. I am 54 years old and nobody ever has noticed that before and I have had physical therapy for my should issues. I think it is amazing now to have this information and be able to get the correct treatment for it. It has been wonderful and the fact that she has been the only person who has diagnosed my scoliosis is quite remarkable. Debbie has really put forth a lot of effort to make sure she could help, in any way she can. The stretching and exercises she has shown me have helped so much, they are so on point.
Each treatment has been different, I can feel the chi energy go directly to whatever the problem areas are, it is truly amazing. One treatment I felt my third eye chakra being cleansed and recharged. As a meditator, that is remarkable and truly helpful. It has helped with my meditation, truly.
I am truly grateful for the help and the great treatments. I feel so much better and my body now seems to be getting the Chi moved around and it seems to be healing.
I believe Dr. Kim can help anyone with any physical problems. He is such a kind, gentle and truly caring doctor, and he has the most wonderful upbeat and happy personality it is quite infectious.
You really do not have to say too much about what the physical issues are with Dr. Kim as he knows what is going on just by taking your pulse.
I will continue to see Dr. Kim for as long as I can, I am really getting the help I need and Dr. Kim and a visionary in his approach and treatment"
